♥ February Ipsy Unboxing + January Review ♥
Ipsy
is a monthly subscription box for makeup products.
I
was not given this box. All opinions are my own. Based off my preferences! :D
Cost:
$10 per month
They
ship to the U.S., and Canada
There is
a wide variety of options for Ipsy bags. You take a quiz when you first sign up
(this can be retaken as many times as you like). This effects what is in your
bag each month.
Each
time you get a bag you have the option of reviewing the items you received.
I've found that this is the best way to effect what you get in your bag each
month. The more reviews you complete the more likely you are to like your
bags.
Here is

Awesome! Happy to get any face/body products. I do have sensitive skin though so I'll have to be careful with this product. It is both a physical exfoliator and a chemical one. I do have pore issues!
Claims:
Smooth + even out skin texture
Cleanse and refine pores
(The only sealed item in this bag)
I'm SO unbelievably excited about this. I had a bunch of these saved on Etsy to purchase. I love this product already. I really disliked the feel of traditional sandpaper files and the noise! This is almost silent and easier on my nails. My nails chip/peel due to health problems (I'm already aware of) and this helps combat that. Using this seals the end of my nail together while filing instead of breaking it up like files usually do.
Claims:
smoother, finer finish
protects nails
less prone to splitting
can be used on toes/fingers both
The full size of this is huge. Therefore, this must be a deluxe size. The original has space on the opposite end for a separate contour brush end you can buy and attach. This is a sample size but I cannot find the size of the original. As this packaging isn't able to have attachments and it much smaller I'd just be guessing at price. The attachment brush is an extra $5
I'm guessing this sample is around $5? Smaller product size, smaller packaging, can't attach...etc.
This is scentless and dries to a powder. It blends AMAZINGLY well..I put a circle of it in the picture and then a line below it that I blended out with my fingertips.
Claims:
Paraben free
cruelty free
Fragrance free
Petro chemical free
Made with love (WHAT!? Holy smokes)
The website says this color is a "Dusty rose" pink but... when I think dusty I think grey tones. This looks hott pink to me or a bubblegum pink.
If you've been reading my unboxings and reviews for a while you know that I adore Trust Fun beauty nail polishes. This one is no exception. The formula is spectacular. One coat polish, great self leveling, beautiful color... a perfect polish. If only they weren't $15!!
Claims:
7-free!! (No: formaldehyde, camphor, dibutyl phthalate, toluene, formaldehyde resin, parabens, gmos)
Non-toxic
Vegan
Long-wear
Cruelty-free
I really want "resting bitch face" , "credit card workout", and "champagne problems" haha
5. Smashbox Cosmetics Photo Finish Primer Oil - Deluxe size - 0.13oz for $5.60 (Full Size 1oz for $42)
Oil primer! How will my oily skin handle this? Ha ha. This is scentless and absorbs instantly.
How to use:
It says to massage 2 drops onto clean skin... but also says morning and night? Do they mean before you take off your makeup and apply your magic NIGHT makeup? If so.. all my dreams have come true. Ha ha. I'm the only one who wishes there was "night" lipstick? Oh..okay.
You can also use this on your hair and nails. It also suggests OVER your makeup for added glow. Wow...I will probably use this one my nails, to be honest. I have a cuticle oil that smells like death (they say dark almond).
Claims:
Preps skin for makeup (sits on top of face to smooth it and absorbs to hydrate)
reduces dry/fine lines
give glowing look
Total
spent for the bag: $10
Total
bag is worth: $49.92
Total
saved: $39.92
Awesome! I'm in love with the crystal nail file and as I was planning on buying one for around $10 that pays for this back all by itself. I'll be using the primer oil as a cuticle oil and I'm elated over the nail polish from my favorite brand. The exfoliator was a win because I loveeee favorite products and it is something I can try out. The only meh item is the blush but it is a really pretty color and I'll get use out of it!
January Review
I've actually turned to this little trio more often than anything else. These three colors work well with my complexion, and go really well with each other. The shadows have no fall out and are pigmented.
Blech! Ha ha. I gave this ONE chance and then gave it away to a friend who loved the scent. I couldn't handle it. It smells like ivy/plant...floral. She likes it though! :D
This is a nice liner and I love that it isn't black! It looks gold in the tube but it is most defiantly a dark bronze color when applied. This is one of my favorites for sure. The balm is a great company. I enjoy a lot of their products that I get!
As you can see from the picture I already had a full size of this product. I haven't opened this one yet but I'm still using the full size. I'll save the tiny one for travelling. The formula is great and gentle... but I haven't noticed any difference in my skin. I just enjoy using these products in general.
I'll take ALL the brushesss! This a nice brush. Not one of my absolute favorites but I could find no fault with it.
Thank
you so much for following along.
