☼☼ August Boxycharm Unboxing + July Review☼☼

August Boxycharm Unboxing + July Review

Boxycharm is a monthly beauty subscription box that sends 4-5 full-size beauty/makeup products.

I was not given this box. All opinions are my own. Based off my preferences! :D

Cost: $21 per month (FREE SHIPPING!)

My referral link

They only ship to 48 U.S. states. (They don't ship to Hawaii or Alaska yet.)

Another hair conditioner. Hmm. I think they send one in almost every box! I hope this is the last for a while. I have very oily hair but not only do I like this but I was looking for something like this. It is a leave-in conditioner but also has SPF 15. So, it nourishes your hair while protecting it and your scalp from the sun. The directions say to massage it into your scalp (wet or dry)!

I love the smell, it didn't weigh down my hair (but I haven't massaged it in yet...), and Cruelty free (plus no phthalates, synthetic dye, nanoparticles, sulfates, parabens, or PABA.)

Mica Beauty doesn't have this item (as shown) on their website. The closest I can find is one with a built in brush that is 4g. This product is missing the built in brush and a gram of product. Even though the card says 'full size' I don't consider it so. The full size (with 4g and built in brush is $35. So.. I'm listing this product as $20 value.

I have worn this item twice (yesterday and today) and I really like the formula. It isn't too sticky or goopy to get a thin line as well as a thick one. It is smooth, it was quick drying, and didn't smudge!

I love this brush! I used it twice so far with the eyeliner above. I didn't have a skinny small brush like this so I'm glad they included one. I think the bristles are soft but firm enough to not fold while using. It has a wood handle and synthetic brush.

I've seen that a lot of people had issues with this product in shipping. Mine was inside of its tube when I opened it but it REALLY loose inside. So, I'm not surprised that it had come out in others bags. I've also read that those getting their boxes over a week ago couldn't find this product on the So Susan website. When I looked I found it though so it is linked above.

I do REALLY like this highlight though. It is great for the corner of the eye but also blends out REALLY well. This would be great for someone just starting to use highlight. In the picture above you can see what I mean. I put two dashes of product and then rubbed the one on the right in with my finger and it left a subtle sheen. Just perfect.

In the past though Boxycharm has had damaged products in their boxes which they ALWAYS step up and provide replacements/points for these items. I've always been highly satisfied with how they handle this kind of thing. I URGE you to contact them through their website (then wait patiently) because they will accommodate you.

The website states that this product has:
• No Mineral Oils
• No Phthalates
• No Parabens
• With Organic Chia Seed extract to help moisturize skin
• With Silk Peptide to promote suppleness
• Fragrance Free
• Hypoallegenic
• Non-comedogenic

YESSSSSSS! Ha ha I've gotten the other two Revealed palettes ( here are links to 1 &2) from past Boxycharm boxes and I was REALLY excited for this one. Below I'll have swatches of all the colors and a picture of all three of these palettes.

You can see down below that I've used the Revealed 1 palette...quite a BIT. I've had it longest and it is a neutrals palette (my favorite). I love mixing the 1 & 2 and now I can already see looks I want to make with all three. I think they compliment each other really well. I also like that there is a really nice mix of matte, satin, and shimmers. The lasting power and pigmentation is excellent on MOST shades. There are a few that fall short (lighter shades usually) but they all BUILD well... which is important.

Total spent for the bag: $21
Total bag is worth: $101.95
Total saved: $80.95

This 101.95 price includes only $20 for the eyeliner (rather than $35) as well as the 19.95 sale price for the palette. Boxycharm lists the prices as $136.95.

JULY REVIEW

This brush is awesome and I will always be happy getting them!

I reach for this when I'm rushing out the door...this is just a quick fill-in product rather than drawing on full brows. I like having it and it isn't too dark for my eyebrow color.

To be honest I still haven't reached for this item a single time until today. It just isn't convenient! I actually fell in love with this today! It felt LIGHTER than the powder I usually use and didn't leave a cast. I'll be reaching for this more often now!

This does weigh my hair down so I use it just for the ends of my hair and I like it. I'm not sure which I'll reach for though now that they have sent me TWO products like this in a row. I'll never use both of these up!! I hope this is the last of the hair conditioners they send for a while.

I love everything about this mascara. I like the brush, I like that it isn't water proof, and I LOVE the gold packaging. This is my favorite non-water prood mascara.

Thank you so much for following along.

♥ August Ipsy Unboxing + July Review ♥

♥ August Ipsy Unboxing + July Review ♥

Ipsy is a monthly subscription box for makeup products.
I was not given this box. All opinions are my own. Based off my preferences! :D
Cost: $10 per month
They ship to the U.S., and Canada

There is a wide variety of options for Ipsy bags. You take a quiz when you first sign up (this can be retaken as many times as you like). This effects what is in your bag each month. Each time you get a bag you have the option of reviewing the items you received. I've found that this is the best way to effect what you get in your bag each month. The more reviews you complete the more likely you are to like your bags.

This is one of my favorite Ipsy bags!

This is an in-shower body moisturizer meant for women over 40. I just turned 30 two weeks ago! lol. It is unscented. I think it is an interesting product. I have used it once and I had a good experience. It was unique. BEFORE toweling off rubbing in this stuff almost replaced the toweling off step. I might save the rest of this until November.... the dryer months.

This is a night cream. I wasn't too keen on getting TWO moisturizers in one bag considering I'm the oiliest person in CREATION. This is oil free plumper with collagen producing peptides though.. so I gave it a whirl and liked it. It is unscented. I normally break out when I use creams at night. Not so with this one. It didn't make my skin feel oily, no scent, and it has hyaluronic acid in it. I like this. I wish the full size wasn't so expensive!

A PEACH blush! I hope I can pull this color off. I really like it. I like this gel-cream formula.. it is super creamy and blends really well and easily with just my fingers. It is supposed to be hybrid gel technology that is easy like powder and natural like cream. I haven't tried this yet but... when I do I will post a picture to instagram! Hopefully, I don't look crazy!

Sample size of all natural lipstick. This doesn't smell...good. It smells like old lipstick. I didn't smell it once it was on my lips though. The color is SUPER bright pink which is a really pretty color. I think it is kind of late in Summer to be getting bright pink shades though.. I was expecting more nudes then berrys/darks in Autumn/Winter.

 Before
 After
 With the Noyah lipstick over

ALWAYS happy to get a lip liner but I have 12 in this nude shade. I never get another but this color in subscription boxes. It is a kind of unusual "nude" shade on me too. Dusty Orangish Brown..I hoped the PINK color would lighten it up but it just made it shiny. Hopefully some of my darks will work over top of this. It is super creamy though! I broke it twice and had to sharpen to use it which are GOOD cons to have.

Total spent for the bag: $10
Total bag is worth: $47.53
Total saved: $37.53

IPSYPOINTS:

This is one of the Klorane soothing eye patches that I received in my May Ipsy bag. I liked them so much that when this came up for 100 ipsy points I snatched it up! (Worth $3)

This is a Real Techniques Concealer Brush. This cost me 250 Ipsy points! (Worth $8)

APRIL REVIEW

These are beautiful colors, blend well, and there isn't any fall out. Is it a mark against it though that I hate the quad? I don't use the colors together and I don't like reaching for it just for a single. Also...the sponge applicator is a waste of space...tossed it.

This color has to be the brightest lipstick I own! I like having it and using it by itself and with other products. The only con is that it is a slippery formula and without a liner it slides into the corners of my mouth.

Used the whole thing up and it didn't ONCE make my hair look NOT oily but it did add volume. I just wish it didn't SMELL so strong.

Haha.. um. Perfect tweezers!! No cons. Nice balance and weight to them. lol

This is hands down my favorite product out of last months bag. I use it nightly. I normally don't like coconut (or any scent but tropical in general) but it works. I love how OILY and moisturizing it feels right away. I will repurchase this product.

Thank you so much for following along!
