Pinterest Frustration

Find the source of a picture! OR How to find pictures that look like what you are looking for?

I've been doing this for years, even before Pinterest made it a necessity. I've written this as comments on several pins but there are too many people bemoaning the fact that they'll never know where to find information about the picture taken. I can't keep up.

Today that ENDS. It is really easy once you know how.

1. Right click on the image.
2. Select "Copy Image Location" or "Copy Image Address" or "Copy Link Address" or if you are using IE go to properties>highlight and copy the address at the bottom.

3. Paste this address into the Google search engine and hit enter.
4. Once it tries to search just make sure and click on "SEARCH BY IMAGE."

Voila! You'll see where this picture has been posted (if it has been.) You'll also see pictures that are LIKE it. Mine for example has never been taken from my blog and used elsewhere so we won't see it here. These are all pictures that are similar though don't you think?

Google can be so neat sometimes! Thank you for following along. :D

NYC Smooch Proof Lip stain 16h Review

After the slight disappointment in Elf's Lip Stain in Pink Petal I bought this one from NYC. Click here to read the review for Elf's Pink Petal.

NYC Smooch Proof Lipstain 16h
#495 Endless Spice

I love this color. As you can see it is akin to a bright red lipstick. Especially, in comparison to my natural lip color. I have to admit I really thought this would be a brownish color because of the name, don't you think?

Here, I've added an un-tinted lip balm and finished the lips in the color.

This is an update 3 hours later after eating one meal and 12 oz of water (I drink a lot of water.) As you can see its completely gone. 16 hours indeed.

This lip stain is drying but nothing too terrible. I also happen to be obsessed with lip balms so my lips are VERY hydrated.

I'm still a huge fan. I'll just be looking for higher quality and longer lasting versions.

After having the Elf lip stain for three days it dried up (read about that here) So, I always store these upside down so the liquid in the tube is always in the tip.

E.L.F. Lip Stain Pink Petal Review

So, I've never liked lip gloss. Its always sticky and comes off on everything. Lipstick is better but also comes off on everything. Cups, food, husbands... I usually stick with chap-sticks (tinted and un-tinted.)

Honestly, I've been afraid to jump on the lip STAIN bandwagon because of the fact that it stains. Plus everyone always complains about how drying they are.

Well, you guessed it. I took the plunge and I'm hooked. I love the colors. I love the stain. It NEVER comes off on things. I just wished it lasted longer. Ironic, I know. I expect I'm going to have to spend money on a more expensive lip stain.

Here is my review on my first and second lip stain purchases. Elf Lip Stain in Pink Petal and NYC Smooch Proof Lip stain 16h 495 Endless Spice.

Elf Lip Stain in Pink Petal

The color is perfection. Just enough pink for my lips.

Here is a picture with half nothing and half lip stain.

Here it is fully on and after I added an un-tinted lip balm. This was taken at 11am.

It is drying but I don't notice that much until its been a few hours and it's nothing too horrible. My lips weren't peeling/cracking or anything like that. They just started to feel a little bit tight.

Here is another picture 3 hours later. After one meal and two 24oz of water (I drink a lot of water.)

Its faded to this barely there pink. It may look worn off but if you look at the first picture with half and half you'll see its still pink. Just not the original BRIGHT pink. It stayed this color until I washed my face before bed. Not exactly what I was looking for though. I like that it's pumped up but I prefer the brighter.

After having this for only three days though the felt tip was very dry! I took the tip out and the tube is full of liquid!

So, I put it on my lips with the back end. Now I store it upside down so that the liquid is constantly pulled down.

So, I bought the NYC Smooch Proof Lip stain 16h in Endless Spice. Click HERE to read that review.

Herby Easter Eggs

Happy Easter to those who celebrate!

I can already smell the ham and deviled eggs. I decided to do a little tutorial for you this year. Shapes on your eggs! Any interest? Well, too late. I waited until the last minute to do this last night. So, you're getting it!

Supplies:
Hard boiled Eggs
Food coloring
Nylons (I used on leg for 7 eggs)
Cups
White vinegar
tiny rubber bands
Herbs/Stickers

Step One: Cut your nylons into 3 inch sections and place an egg inside each.
Step Two: Tie each end off with a tiny rubber band, making sure to twist the nylons until its tight.
Step Three: Pull both ends with rubber bands together, twist, and secure with another rubber band.

Step Four: Lay out your cups (in my case 7)
Step Five: Put a 1/2 cup hot water and 2 tsp of vinegar in each cup
Step Six: Add your dye. There are recipes for certain colors on the box. Or you can find more HERE
Step Seven: Gentle place your eggs in the dye with your tied end facing upward for easy removal.

Step Eight: Let them sit in the cups for five minutes (TIME IT!)
Step Nine: Remove your eggs, cut off the nylons, and remove the herbs. (Don't bother removing the stickers they are fine for now)
Step Ten: LET your eggs SIT. Do not handle them until they are completely dry.

As you may or may not be able to tell I ran out of herbs. What I have here is a weed, shamrock, a weed, another weed, and parsley! I also used oregano but I somehow cut that out of the picture. The 7th item I used was a heart I just cut out of duct tape and put on the egg before submerging it in the dye. :D

Full Fledged Springanite

Spring is in full swing! The sunshine. The flowers. It's almost as if I had forgotten what it was like.

Happiness abounds. Everything feels full of hope and openness don't you think? Well, I do.

This year will be twice as great as last year! Lots of plans... including a two week trip to New York/New Jersey in July to see family out there. I'll be meeting most of Hubbin's family out there for the first time (or second because some came to the wedding.) He'll be able to get to know my family out there better.

Needless to say I'm excited and ready. I have BIG plans. As of this week we have officially finished the house. We've live in this house since November 2012. So, that is what? A year and five months. It has taken me that long but I have it decorated the way I want and as of this week we finished getting the curtains changed out. Perfection! I'll have pictures of those soon, hopefully.

Once the curtains for the bedroom come in the mail we'll be DONE. D.O.N.E. Then, I supposed I'll have to start making plans to change EVERYTHING, right? Ha ha.

This is my spring table decor
After getting my camera I've been taking loads more pictures and learning tons. So, this year will be a year of adventure as well. I want to get out and take GREAT pictures of beautiful places. To do that I need to GO to the great places! Wish us luck.

Honestly, Spring has to be the best season. Everyone loves Summer because its warm. In Summer you can have your windows down in the car, swim in the ocean, and sit on your porch (back or front) enjoying the world outside the domicile. But Spring is an entire season filled with HOPE and anticipation for those things. You can take them for granted while they are happening but Spring lays it all out for you.

Spring is the season of promises. So, close your eyes and make a wish!

Girl's Day Out Haul!

HAUL! I went out with a friend and we went shopping which we haven't done in months and months!

We started out in a chocolate shop called Encore Chocolate and Teas we browsed for teas but I ended up buying a piece of fresh DELICIOUS caramel for $0.50 and these strange chocolate covered berries for $5.99. They were tart and it really worked well. He said that "Raw" meant that there is little to no processing that that this specific brand "Pacari" owns there trees and does all the steps to make these little chocolates themselves.

The owner was AMAZING. Obviously, a friendly passionate man. He let's you try samples before buying the chocolate OR tea. I tried a sample of blue cheese chocolate which I can say was actually really good and I thought it would be horrible. I told him I was disappointed that he had everything under the sun but chocolate with nougat inside, my favorite. He promised to ask around if I promised to come back. WHO WOULDN'T?

Just down the road we popped into this used books store Browsers' Used Book Store and looked around. I was about to leave empty handed when I spotted this on a rack by the door. I got The Once and Future King by T.H. White for $2. Its on my 2014 to read list. You can see the entire resolution book list HERE.

After that we stopped by the Goodwill on the west-side of Olympia. I found this ADORABLE Vera Wang clutch for $1.25. I've been using it ever since. I just pop it right inside my purse and slip it out if I don't feel like carrying the whole SHABANG around. It gets heavy!

I think it retails for something like $20? It isn't by any means anything close to one of her dresses of course. It think these are just sold at stores like Kohl's. I still love it though. It has three pocket areas. One zipped for change and two open areas on either side of the "card slots" in the middle. One of them is deep and one is shorter and perfect for putting cash in. I adore this little purse.

Our last stop was The World Market also on the west-side of Olympia. You may or may not be aware of this but I ADORE four things in life. Hubbins, the color green, Octopuses, and BEES. This is a bee measuring cup stack ($12.99) that sits on my counter now.

I had my eye on This pear measuring cup set from Nordstrom but this is WAY better (cheaper too!) and more my style.

Lastly, I picked up these two little hard rubberized hedgehogs for $5.99. Any guesses what they are for? They are for the dryer. That's right. I'm highly allergic to all things fragrant. So, I can't use dryer sheets. I just toss these little beauties into the dryer with each load and they toss around in there make the clothes soft, helping them dry, and getting rid of that pesky static cling! They work wonderfully.

We had a blast together and this shopping trip was long overdue. I can't wait for the next one! Thank you for following along.

Spring Quarter College Classes

I started my fourth quarter of my first year in college on the 7th of April. Yeah, I'm only a week into this quarter. The classes I'm taking this quarter are:

Forensic Psychology
Digital Photography
Astronomy

So, far there is a lot of reading and discussions in the Psych and Astronomy classes.

I'm taking these classes toward earning my AA at my local community college.

The digital photography class is the most challenging. Maybe because its art and not memorization? Well, there is a lot of memorization but I'm really getting into it. I've learned more about taking pictures in this past week than I have in the two years I've been taking pictures.

My first grouping of pictures and a quiz are due on Thursday of this week. We were told not to delete any pictures from our cameras after the first class. I took 337 pictures from 04/07-04/14.

We organized all those photos into contact sheets with Adobe Bridge to turn in. Then we are supposed to make four of them in B&W and turn them in. These are the four that I chose. I'll let you know in an update post what my grade is on them.

I'm 100% open to critique! I'm a SUPER beginner. I'd like as much feedback as I can get.
