♥January Ipsy Subscription Unboxing + December Review♥

I was not given this box. All opinions are my own. Based off my preferences! :D
Cost: $10 per month
They ship to the U.S., and Canada

This is a super light shade. I could use it as a highlight or on the inner corners of my eyes. Prettier on my finger than on my hand for some reason.

The orange is stronger than the mint so this is something I like! I'm going to have to start gifting all the balms I have and don't use! This one will be used for sure. I adore orange.

I love this. I'm not a fan of the smell. I really wish is smelled like honey and not floral goo. Otherwise though I would be happy with some kind of mask in every month! I adore them.

I don't have a grey eye liner in a grey color like this. I only own blacks. I'm happy to be pushed from my comfort zone with this product! I like the grey color and it was soft and pigmented. I barely brushed my hand with it.

This isn't a color I would chose for myself. Especially, in January but I like it. I'm planning on doing a snow scene on my nails now that I have this sky blue color. I'll always be pleased with nail polishes in subscription bags.

Total spent for the bag: $10
Total bag is worth: Approx: $35
Total saved: $25

I don't like this bag as much as I did Decembers but I got a Tarte product in that one. Ha ha. This bag was for sure still worth the price. I'm really looking forward to February's Vday Bag!

Here is the video unboxing of this bag!

Year Long Scarf - Update! 6 Months

I've had a daily crochet project going since January 1st that  you may or may not remember.

Here is a link to that post!

Basically, every day from January 1st 2014 to December 31st 2014 I'll be crocheting a line of crochet onto a piece.

I do this in order to create a "scarf" that represents this year. Each day is represented by the color of the sky!

White for overcast (let's face it people.. I used a lot of this and we're only 6 months in. I live in the Pacific Northwest!)

Light blue for partly cloudy

Blue for BLUEBLUEBLUE skies!

Black for thunderstorms/big DARK clouds

Today I'm officially 6 months into this "scarf"

I keep referring to it as a "scarf" because I won't be actually wearing this when I'm done. I'm going to hang it up!

This is a picture of it hung up.

Here is another picture with the months represented (click to see enlarged). I did not do an exact count but this is an approximation. You'll notice in Feb there are different stitched (puff/chain)

Puff stitches (which there are two rows in Feb) represent SNOW! The loose chain that is in the middle represents sleet.

How great is the large chunk of white in April? April showers..... :D

I love this project so far. I don't keep a lot of things because of sentimentality but this will be one I think.

Basically while outside each day I make note of the sky and write it down in my planner. At the end of the week (Sundays) I do all the rows and once a month I take it out and sew in all the tails. I do NOT want to get to December and have to sew in 365 tails. No thank you!

What do you think of my 2014 weather scarf? I was thinking of doing one with emotions. Red for anger, blue for sad.. etc. That would be slightly therapeutic don't you think? Help us acknowledge our feelings on a daily basis.

Thank you SO much for following along!

Review: Merona Purse

My Merona purse from Target is amazing. One of the presents that Hubbins got me for Xmas 2013.

You can purchase this here at Target. for $34.99 if you are interested. It does come in SIX fantastic colors.

(Brown<--mine, Beige, Gray, Blue, New Mint, and Pink)

Gawd, if I wasn't afraid of color I would love to have the new mint color.

Its the perfect size for all of my garbage. 9.0 " H x 13.0 " W x 6.0 " D. It has handles AND a shoulder strap that can be made into an over the shoulder strap. It is very long.

Makeup, wallet, sunglasses, emergency supplies, random supplies, water bottle, phone, and keys.

I love the feel of the outside (Polyurethane) It is really soft leather feeling and the inside is the same color and polyester.

The inside has a cell phone pocket, an accessory pocket, and a zippered pocket. I use the cell phone pocket and accessory pocket for random items like receipts, lip gloss and lotion. The interior zippered pocket I use to hold all of my emergency supplies.

Emergency Supplies (inside right now):
Eye glasses repair kit
Band-aids
Tums
Ibuprofen
Tissues
Sleeping Eye Mask
Pad
Tampon
Hand Sanitizing Wipes
Inhaler

The exterior has one zippered pocket, and two side pouches. The exterior zippered pocket I use for non-emergency type items.

Non-Emergency Supplies:
Extra lip gloss
A Lighter
A mirror
Spare set of keys
Hair ties
Lipstick
A step counter...

One of the side pouches I use for my keys and cellphone and the other I use for my water bottle.

Complaints:
The top can close with a zipper. Personally I do not use this and I'm not sure I ever will but I hate it. I don't like the feeling of the two zipper edges scraping both sides of my hand and arm while I'm fishing around inside.

Also it isn't the BEST quality. There were a lot of strings hanging off everywhere when I first got it and I've had it over a month now and there are still some that I find.

In every other way though it is perfection.

What is your favorite purse and why?
