You take a quiz when you subscribe to help steer your items to your tastes.

You can review the items that were in your box for points. Each item is worth 10 points in the Birchbox store. $5 in store is 50 Birchbox points.

Each box comes with a card that has the monthly theme and a list of the contents. It also has the price of the items and a little blurb about the item and/or how to use it.

1. Vasanti BrightenUp! Enzymatic Face Rejuvenator - Sample Size - 0.7oz $5.66 (Full Size 4.23oz $34)

A face wash! One of my favorite items to get. This has a very fine sand in it and not much of a scent. Smells a little bit floral/soapy but I'm sensitive to scents and this one is barely there.

2. Briogeo Don't Despair, Repair! Deep Conditioning Mask - Sample Size - $4.25 (Full Size 8oz $34)

A hair mask. My least favorite item to get. Ha ha. I will use this one though because it isn't just a conditioner. The directions say you can put it on hair after shampoo and leave it for 5-10 minutes (what? lol that is eternity). OR you can  put it on under a plastic cap and let it sit for 20 minutes! I'm going to give that a try.

3. Whish Shave Crave Shaving Cream - Sample Size - 22ml $2.35 (Full Size 150ml $16)

8 scents: Lavender, Pomegranate, Almond, Blueberry, Lemongrass, Coconut, Acai Grapefruit and Original

I received the Lavender scent. I'm not a big fan of the scent at all. There is barely any in this container.. I don't mind getting tiny samples but I loathe when they are in GIANT packaging and I have to work at it to get the dollop out! I feel as though I would have to cut this open.

I really appreciate getting this kind of sample though! I like getting a LARGE variety. 

4. The Beauty Crop PBJ Smoothie Stick - Full Size - $14.95

2 shades: This one pictures above and a light pinkish color (no names on website)

This is a slightly muted red but still a pigmented red shade.

 I read a lot of reviews that described this as a "perfect every day lip color" but this is the opposite of what I would consider "every day" I consider this more of a special occasion/night out/hang out color. Every day colors are usually lip dupe/natural colors to me. I wouldn't feel comfortable wearing this to work/school.

As you can see in the swatch above though you can try and put it on VERY lightly?

5. Supergoop! Daily Correct CC Cream SPF - Sample Size - 3ml $1.10 (full size 87ml $32)

This comes in three shades: Fair to Light; Light to Medium; Medium to Dark

I received the fair to light shade and it seems a little dark for my tastes. It is sheer though and it blended perfectly into my hand.

MARCH REVIEW

1. Living Proof Perfect Hair Day Fresh Cut Treatment - Luxury Size - 1oz for $7.05 (Full Size 3.4oz $24)

I'm not sure that I see any difference using this product. I might have to get a haircut then try and use it and see if there is any different after that?

2. The Balm Cosmetics Stainiac - Luxury Size - 0.04 oz for $2.27 (Full Size 0.3 oz $17)

I use this one coat under lip balm for a little bit of color but it is a terrible product. Sticky. Horrible chemical burning taste. I would not purchase any of these full size.

3. Catherine Malandrino Style de Paris - Sample Size - 2ml for $3.20 (Full Size 50ml for $80)

I already owned this so... nothing new. Not a huge fan of the scent. I passed along this sample to a friend.

4. NER:D Skincare Miraculous Brightening Clarifying Face Cleanser - Luxury Size - 15ml for $3 (Full Size 100ml for $20)

I love this! I feel like I have noticed a brightening difference in my skin after using this. The sample was large enough to use over and over. I might buy the full size of this soon!

5. Shiseido Ultimune Power Infusing Concentrate (For Face) - Sample Size - 1ml for $2.23 (Full size 30 ml for $67)

I like serums like this one but this is one sample. I have serums.... this wasn't any different than putting water on my face. Plus it is really expensive? No reason to buy this rather than the one I currently use.

1. Previse Skincare HydroMilk Hydrating Lotion - Full Size -$48

Sweet! I've gotten a different step out of the step from this line in Boxycharm in the past. I hope they send me the other 4 parts soon! It doesn't have any sort of scent. It is a lotion for your face... so not sure how much I'll use this right now unless I get some really harsh cleanser the next time I go shopping. Otherwise.. it would cause breakouts!

(This did not have any kind of safety seal on it) 

2. Vasanti Professional Foundation Brush - Full Size - $32

LOVE brushes. I've already opened this and used it and it is one of my new favorites. (I washed this and dried it for this blog picture ha ha I used it almost immediately.) 

3. SkinnysmolderEYES Amazonian Clay Waterproof liner - Full Size - $19

Beautiful burgandy colored eye liner. I used this the day I got it as well. I'm not in love with the blending brush sponge part that is one one end but I just won't use it. I tried it and it wasn't very successful. 

4. Chella Eyebrow Defining Gel - Full Size - $18

Perfect timing! I just ran out of this stuff. I like this formula too. It doesn't make my eyebrows crunchy and it doesn't smell. Not too much else to say about eyebrow gel! Um... it isn't very liquidous.. I'm used to the E.L.F. one which you can SEE the gel-ish formula but this didn't look like that. It held well though. It was clear as well.

(This came with safety seal wrapper on it)

5. SCRATCH Nail Wraps - Full Size - $12

These look......horrible. Ha ha. I've seen them on nails though and they are BEAUTIFUL! I can't wait to put them on. I'm inserting a photo from the website to show. I'm not putting these on tonight. Sorry. Ha ha. Plus these hands are more beautiful. I like nail wraps so I was happy to see these in my box. Especially white/negative space/ gold ones! My favorite.

These are sealed and it comes with a warning to use them within a month of opening them. WHAT does that mean?! These nail wraps lose their freshness? Ha ha. Interesting.

There was also this coupon (won't show lol) cute that they customized it for Boxycharm!

6.  Kardashian Beauty Black Seed Dry Oil - Travel Size - $2.75 0.5oz (FullSize 3oz $16.50) BONUS ITEM

This is another hair treatment oil. We seem to get these on a constant basis in Boxycharm boxes.  This one is a "seed oil" and it says that is "black seed" whatever seed that means... It smooths hair, nourishes, and makes it stronger and shinier. I love the smell of hair oils. This has an oily sweet smell that is subtle. I like it. 

(There was a safety seal on this - under the lid)

Boxycharm is my FAVORITE box hands down I think. I'm always really happy with their boxes. Totally worth the $21 obviously and I really love the products.

AUGUST REVIEW

   1. NOIS Shield Leave-in Conditioner - Full Size - $26

This is too heavy to be massaged into my scalp. The smell is GREAT (sweet/not overpowering to my sensitive lungs) and it doesn't weigh my hair down when used like a normal leave-in. I like knowing I have extra protection on my hair.

2. Mica Beauty Gel Eyeliner

I like using this eyeliner a lot! This is my first gel liner and it is a lot easier to use than I thought it would be. It dries quickly and isn't too runny or too goopy.

3. Seta Eyeliner Brush - Full Size - $16

Good brush. Love getting them, always will. Works great with the liner

4. So Susan Statement Skin Highlighter - Full Size - $20

I like this and have used it every day I wore makeup this past month! I like that it can be used subtly as well as built up.

5. Revealed 3 palette

LOOOOOOOOOVE! I used this today on a purple/pink look which is something I haven't tried yet.

1. Vasanti Professional Blush Brush (Full Size) - $29

Nylon fibers. ALWAYS happy to have more brushes. I'll take 500 more. Thanks. Keep 'em comin'! It has a good stiffness to it while still being SOFT. I like the little plastic sheath that covers the top. I'll use that for travelling with it!

2. Ofra Cosmetics Universal Eyebrow Pencil (Full Size) - $13

I'm a huge Ofra fan so I'm glad to have another one of their products! This is supposed to be water resistant and suit all skin tones. Made from synthetic beeswax. 

3. yourMinerals Transparent Veil Setting Powder Medium (Full Size) - $26

So, I've never heard of this company. The website says they are a Swedish makeup company. They a lot of different products (powder foundation, brushes, concealer, shadows, highlights..) but this product it says won't be available for purchase until the end of July. So... pre-released! WHOOP! 

It says:

Transparent setting powder with an ultralight silk texture that is matte while minimixing fine lines and pores. 

lol. I'm excited for a setting powder (use to set your makeup after putting it on) because I don't have one. I usually use a powder foundation but I'm hoping this can replace that so I can set things and NOT dull their color. Ha ha.

4. Gorge I'll make you look amazing daily spray (Full Size) - 29.95 [$24.95 on their website]

So, it say that this is a magical leave in conditioner spray that restores your hair to its natural luster. Smooths hair, de-frizz, shiny, stronger, and healthier every time you use it. It protects your hair from heat tools, detangles it. No more split ends. Repairs damage. Seals cuticles and protects color. No more breakage. Gives body. Seals in moisture. 

LOL.. basically everything? That's hard to believe. It is vegan, non-gmo, gluten free (lol hair gluten?!), soy free, made in USA, and independently tested. 

Ingredients are interesting. Organic lime oil (to grow hair, protect, shine), green tea essence (grow hair, protect, shine), ....quinoa?(nourish,strength, and prevent breakage) lol 

5. MDMflow Greater Than Mascara (Full Size) - $32.82 (£21)

XXL black mascara! Omg this is beautiful. The packaging is HEAVY and gold. I'm in love. I hope it works good. I think even after it dries up I'll be keeping this tube as decor. Ha ha. I'm a sucker for packaging. This will be available for purchase at the end of July. This isn't water proof (it says easy off formulation for removal with warm water)

1. Eslor Chlorophyll Lifting Mask 

Love it! I've used this several times. It dries on. Not a peel off. Rinses off without leaving any slipperiness. I wish I had more!

2. Bellapierre Cosmetics Kabuki Brush 

It's a brush. lol. I've used to to apply powder and bb cream and it works great. No fall out. It's soft. I like the size.

3. The Beauty Crop Lighting Crew Highlighting Cream

IN LOVE WITH THIS. It is such a gorgeous package and an amazing rose gold color. One of my favorite cheek highlights (not for brow bone lol)

4. ncLA Nail Lacquer - Full Size $16

I think now this is my FAVORITE nail brand. It goes on in ONE great thick coat or two thin. Magical. It self levels well and the color is beautiful. 

5. Cargo Cosmetics Eye Shadow Single - Full Size $16 (In "Pasadena")

Beautiful color. No fall out. Great staying power. I actually really like this color too. I thought it was radical but it can be built up to this or used subtly. I like it.
