Ofra Liquid Lipstick Haul! + Swatches + Before/Afters

 If you check back to my January Lip Monthly Unboxing blog post you will see that I got an Ofra Long Lasting Liquid Lipstick in that bag in the color "Laguna Beach" and I fell head over LIPS in love with it.

Ofra had a 50% Valentines day sale! These long lasting liquid lipsticks (gloss to matte) are regularly $19.90 each. Which means I got two for 19.90! I love deals. Deals for mealllsssss. I wouldn't have bought two otherwise. I was planning on buying a second one and ending our relationship there.. for a good long while. Ha ha. These are the only two colors I wanted. If they get a berry color.. someone let me know. Ha ha.

Here is what came in the box! In the upper left corner is a 40% off coupon/card thing for Ofra. It says it doesn't expire so I'll be using this if they add any more colors to the line that I like. Ha ha. There are the two colors I bought in the lower left. I got a basic red "Atlantic City" and a purple "New Orleans." In that baggy are some free samples! Ha ha. Read on for more details and swatches.

Here are my two colors out of their fancy boxes. The samples I received starting from lower right to upper left are: "Soft pearl peel", "biotech cream", and two "peptide complex series moisturizers."

Their website says this about each one:

Soft Pearl Peel: Soft Pearl Peal is a gentle and effective exfoliating cream for the face and neck and is suitable for all skin types (avoid friction movements on acne skin). This peal can be used wet or dry and will leave skin clear, clean, smooth and fresh. Soft Pearl Peal will also reduce pigmentation, remove dead skin cells and eliminate black heads. 

This product can be used in two different ways: dry (gomage), or wet, For a dry application, apply a small quantity on clean skin on the face and neck. Let dry for 5-10 minutes, then rub off gently. As a wet application apply on clean skin on the face and neck and wait 5 minutes, then use wet fingertips and rub for one minute before washing off with warm water. In cases of acne, apply on clean skin then wash off after 10 minutes. (Do not rub this peel on acne skin as the pustules can open up and infect other parts of the face.)

Biotech Cream: Hypoallergenic and hydrating day and night cream, which consists of an effective network of antioxidants and nourishing ingredients. Suitable for dry, normal and combination skin types. Cutting edge peptide technology – 5% Argereline acts similar to a topical face muscle relaxer, reducing the appearance of deep wrinkles and acting as an alternative to toxic injections assisting in the formation of the skin's regenerative layers. It is a firming cream which dramatically reduces the appearance of wrinkles and helps increase elasticity. It promotes younger, smoother looking skin. Continued use repairs and strengthens the skin, restoring it to its natural health and vitality. Results are significant and long lasting. (Argereline is a peptide made synthetically in a laboratory environment and consists of Amino Acids, which are the basic unit for protein. Protein is composed of Amino Acid. Two or more Protein becomes Peptides. Amino acids and protein have many functions in our body. Amino acids Protein make up the human body.) So, all three of these are for my face! Haha. I wasn't sure by their names. I'm pretty excited about these. I know some people hate the little foil packets they get but I love them!

 Above are the three colors right after I swatched them so you can see them wet. Below is after a minute and they had dried or "matted" lol This shows something important about these. If you put too much on it will NEVER matte. See how the laguna beach still has wet spots on the top? That is because I put too much on there. You need VERY LITTLE to cover you lips. I've seen people complaining about them being wet and sticky. This is went there is so much product that they can't matte. I did this the second time I wore the product. It was horrible. It isn't difficult just dab a little and rub your lips together and then get the edges. A little goes a long way.

This is my second Ipsy bag.

1. The first item below is an IT Cosmetics Bye Bye Under Eye Anti-Aging concealer in the shade "Neutral Medium" sample size (.11fl oz) for approx. $9.60 (full size .28fl oz is $24) 

This sample almost pays for the box all by itself.

Not sure if you can tell but I totally mutilated the top of the box with I cut open the packaging. Thank goodness it wasn't my actual glitter BAG! Devastation would have been felt.

As you can see there are four shades (hardly enough to cover the range especially in a concealer) I received the second from the top. The top "fair" looks too light. There might not be a perfect shade of this out there for me. I did swatch this but I left that photo out because it doesn't show in photos. Take it from me though.. I can see the LINE between it and my skin. It's full coverage and THICK so I might mix it with something else. :D

2. The next item is this Be a... bombshell eye base in the color "submissive" for $14 it is bronzie and creamy and has just a hint of shimmer. I adore it so far.

The packaging seems well made (glass bottom/plastic lid) and the product is to DIE for. See below.

Look at this! It goes perfectly with the two other goldish shades I have. I could do a full look with the three I have now. Ha ha. 

3. The next item is my absolute favorite from this bag! J. cats wonder lip paint in "Red Potion" for $4.99 It looks impossibley vampy and dark in the tube but on the lips it was a berry vamp rather than the brick vamp I was expecting. The consistency is unusual too. It feels like a gloss with a wet watery feeling rather than a sticky one.

4. Another highlighter.. in my first Ipsy bag (last months) I also received a highlighter. This one is liquid and that first one was a cream, but still. Highlighter is something I think everyone uses the least amount of. This is Temptu S/B Highlighter 30ml in "Pink Pearl" for $27.50 what I have is a sample size of 3ml though so only worth $2.75

5. And final product in the bag is this Marc Anthony Oil of Morocco Argan Oil Volume Shine Hairspray $8.99 but what I have is a sample size of only 53ml making it worth approx. $1.60

I liked this bag. The J. Cats Beauty Wonder Lip Paint.. is worth the whole works for me!  I'll use all of these items at least thought which I can't say about any subscription bag I've gotten so far. I might try a few then pass them on but I'm interested in all of these at least.

 Here is a swatch of this color on my hand. Ha ha. So different. It is creamy and feels nice! Not too greasy or anything.

Starlooks Lip Scrub $2 (5 for $10)

Just a brown sugar lip scrub VERY oily. I could have made this myself but.. maybe it was made with coconut oil or something. Ha ha.

Below is Noyah Lip Balm in "Spearmint" $3.99

This lip balm was bizarre! It is extremely greasy and had a VERY strong tingle.

This bag came with a Noyah coupon! 20% off your purchase of lipstick, lip gloss, and lip balms when you use the code "Lipmonthly" at checkout. This code didn't work for me when I tried to use it. I put the code into checkout and clicked apply and it said it was applied but nothing was taken off my total. So, I'm not sure about that...

DeVine Lip Shimmer $16.95 in "Pinot Noir" marked down from $19.95

It has as a nice feel and gives me a slightly darker hue. I like it.

L.A. Gril Eyeliner Pencil in "Brown-Black" $3.00

I haven't tried this yet. I might try it once then pass it on. I already have two! I really don't need three but if it's better than my other pencil one I might.

The swatch on my hand.. lol sorry it's blurry. I'm tired from school work and editing. It's black folks.. it is creamy and feels nice.

Julep Polish Review

Hello! So a couple weeks ago I did a haul on some Julep items I got. I decided to do a nail polish review on these because they are pretty expensive ($14 each.) I got the three above (that silver thing is a cuticle cream. I'm reviewing the grey one today. It is the color "Stevie - Boho Glam."

You can see it in the swatch picture in the middle below.

The formula is very pigmented. I only did ONE coat on each nail. That.. has never happened for me before. Ha ha.

The picture below was taken just minutes after applying it. I took this picture quickly and had to leave the house. I cleaned up the edges a little better when I got home. Ha ha. Don't judge.

Below is a picture taken the next day. I'm a little disappointed. I did a full bottom coat of clear, one coat of Stevie - Boho Glam, then a top coat (including sealing the ends.)

It is already peeling up. The pictures don't show it but the third day was a hot mess. I have NYC polishes that last longer. I have wet n' wild that lasts longer! Why would I spend $14 on this? Well, there are too reasons. The first one is the one coat (it's faster), the second one is the colors (have you SEEN the purple? I'm agog), and the third one is they are 3-free, 4-free, and even 5-free!!
